Between mountain peaks and sandstone cliffs
On one side is the Kneipp spa Bad Schandau, on the other the tranquil village of Krippen, one of the favorite places of the Romantic painter Caspar-David Friedrich. So begins this classic in the Elbsandsteingebirge, a boat tour for a relaxing late afternoon. You travel up the Elbe between the imposing rocks of the Schrammsteine and mountain ridges that lead up towards the Kaiserkrone and Zirkelstein. Enjoy the peace and quiet in the southernmost section of our driving area, say hello to the Czech Republic and return to the heart of Saxon Switzerland after 90 minutes. Depending on the water level of the Elbe, the route may be adjusted.
